They reached the Yalu

But, unknown to them, twelve veteran Chinese divisions were moving to ambush the 1st Marine Division, just below them. This photo was virtually on the eve of one of the greatest battles, savage tactical victories in the middle of overwhelming strategic defeat, in the history of the USMC.
