With the exception of ground forces from the British Commonwealth (Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom), which were constituted as the 1st Commonwealth Division in July 1951, the forces of other UN members were incorporated into US formations. The ROK army was placed under MacArthur's command by President Rhee on 14 July 1950, but was never formally part of the US Eighth Army. |
