Centurion in trouble

Centurion in trouble, June '52
In No Man's Land

Now the shoe is on the other foot here, the Centurions are in a spot of bother. Those hills opposite are the infamous Mathew, Mark, Luke and John (227). Stuck halfway up the side is a Centurion with a track blown off by a Chinese bazooka rocket. Below are some comrades going to his aid, and a devil of a job it was, getting the lame duck out. I have no idea why they were up there, to relieve the boredom perhaps! I do recall we sat and watched with great interest as Charlie disabled this tank, then peppered the hull with automatic fire to ensure no foolish soul tried to repair the track. Several hours and much effort later, they got it extricated, just how I cannot recall.
