I first would like to thank you for your sacrifice in this bloody and forgotten war.
Acting in a reinacment association in France, to try to share the history of our French Forces that were sent in Korea, I respect a lot the ork you did here and back there.
I am reading your site since a good time now, and i recently started to list the weapons and equipment used in Korea. I also thank you for the help your website is providing me.

My Great Uncle, Corporal Kevin Joseph Cooper 51482 2nd Battalion RAR, Lost his life the day before Armistice Day in Korea.

Thank you for putting together this website. It has been a wonderful resource for learning about the Korean war and what the Veterans went through.

I'm working on a third edition of "The John Tubinis File: 101st Airborne, Camp Breckinridge, 1948-1953." Look for it on Amazon.com.

A chapter entitled "Beyond Breckinridge" features where the men served following basic training. One of the veterans that trained with my dad was part of the 187th RCT. He has shared memories of rioting aftermath on Koje-do Island.

Would it be possible to use the summary on your website in my book?

Thank you.

My father was with HQ 3/5 and fought in the Nevada Cities battle. He was a Marine rifleman and ran wire to the outposts. He cut the ribbon dedicating the Korean War Memorial in Carson City, Nevada in 2005. He lives in Reno, Nevada.

We are very proud of him.
